Kate and Harry forever? Souvenir mug immortalizes wrong couple

“I, Catherine, take thee, Harry - uh, I mean William - to be…”

Before we go starting any rumors, we should mention that Kate, the bride-to-be of Prince William, has not now, nor ever been reported to be involved with Prince Harry. So it seems strange that any company would mix up the brothers’ photos on royal wedding souvenirs.

But that’s exactly what Guandong Enterprises has done on a souvenir mug, where the featured photos of Catherine and “Will,” are actually Catherine and Harry.

“Crafted in the finest bone china, it features an exquisite design of the happy couple with ornate gold detailing to honour this great moment in history,” reads the website, where one can purchase the mug for £9.99, or $16. “Please be our guests to own this esteemed, limited edition heirloom to celebrate with your work associates, friends, family and loved ones on 29th April 2011.”

Or is this a spoof after all, as Britain’s Telegraph newspaper suggests? The company is registered in the UK and seems to sell no other products.

Either way, this is one piece of royal wedding memorabilia that certainly stands out from the traditional tea towels and tea cups.
