Prince William has confessed to having some pre-wedding jitters.
He admitted that he was nervous during a recent rehearsal. “I was telling everyone I did the rehearsal the other day and my knees started going – tapping quite nervously,” he said.
He also joked that he was having sleepless nights: “It’s quite a daunting prospect, but very exciting,” adding that there was “still a lot of planning to do.”
The groom-to-be said he was “proud” to have outfoxed the media over his “military operation” stag party, which took place at a friend’s estate in Norfolk last weekend.
Asked to divulge the details, he joked: “Oh, you know I can’t do that.”
Was he hung over?
“You’re not going to get anything out of me on that front either, not a chance,” he added.
The prince was speaking ahead of a visit to his RAF base in Anglesey, North Wales, by his grandparents, the queen and Prince Philip. He has completed 35 operational shifts at RAF Valley, each lasting 24 hours, which saw 12 search and rescue missions. He has so far clocked up 89.55 flying hours.
